Hi. I currently take 15mg of Reductil for weight loss assistance and 20mg of Fluoxetine for mild depression and have been taking both for almost 1 year, as prescribed by my GP. I have had not had any adverse reactions however, my dose of fluoxetine is low. Perhaps a higher dose of fluoxetine may cause side effects when taken alongside Reductil.

Yes. Well, it did (does) work for me. I have been on Meridia for a couple years and have lost 90 pounds. Of course, I also worked by butt off through exercise and dieting, but Meridia just gave me an extra boost. I still get hungry, but not so hungry that I could murder someone if I don't eat that instant. And I get fuller faster. If you do get on it, don't expect it to be a miracle pill -- there is no such thing. You have to put in the work and let the pill assist you. Also, make sure to see your doctor every couple months to monitor your blood pressure. Good luck!

I've just been prescribed Reductil and the doctor made it extremely clear that you cannot take Prozac and Reductil at the same time. In fact you have to be at least two weeks clean of prozac before starting Reductil. The pharmacist who filled my prescription too was very clear about not mixing the two types of medication. If in doubt yourself - take proper medical advice, face to face. Don't risk it!

Answer

You shouldn't pop a positive unless your abusing it. I work for a company that sells drug tests and I took one of our 5 panel tests, which 1 of the 5 is amphetamines (I'm on Meridia 10mg) and it came up negative.

No. This combination is not recommended. Fastin (phentermine), itself, has been implicated in a greater number and frequency of heart attacks and strokes, especially in those individuals with cardiovascular disease risk factors. Adding Meridia (sibutramine) could potentially exacerbate these risks even further. Again, this combination has not been shown to be safe.
